Protected PDF's

[John C]

Our (my work's) standards supplier has recently introduced new security measures to reduce copyright infringement on downloaded international specs. The PDF files which I download are protected with security software from file open systems.

EDIT:.... blah blah blah....Torrents to the rescue - problem semi-sorted with some slightly dodgy password removal software

I'd call up the company that do these PDF's and tell them this in a big boomy voice. If there's another company you can get this stuff from, use it to your advantage and start making a few subtle threats!
