brake help

i let a friend have a go on my sr50 big mistake as hes never rode a bike before he rode straight into my fence there wasnt many scratches but the front brake lever got hit, now sometimes it feels soft where you can pull it in far and other times its rock hard now im thinking that it lost some brake fluid or the fluid is still leaking?

my YZF did this some times although i think it was just a sticky lever.

have you tried to bleed the brake?

not yet never worked on a motorbike before so not too sure how to go about it

Before you try anything drastic, try this:

Pull the brake lever back to the bars, and tie it back using a cable tie or anything else you can get your hands on. Leave it like that, with the brake locked on hard, overnight. This allows any air trapped in the system to rise to the top of the master cylinder. When you release the brakes in the morning, the air should be expelled as the fluid under pressure is released back into the resorvoir..
worth a try, it's surprising how well this works!
