 |
|
Been seeing this girl for about 3 weeks now, ever since i met her mum she has disliked me, i have no idea why. When it comes to peoples mums, I’m always polite, well mannered etc.. all my mates mums f*cking love me,,,,so i know I’m not in the wrong (too much.)
She's never muttered more than a sentence to me and whenever I go round now she doesn’t even say hello.
Now i can live with that, but she’s been shit stirring, the first occasion was when she said one of her workmates (one of my mates mums) told her that i had been bad mouthing Kim (my girlfriend) which i hadn’t. Anyway i never did anything about it and persuaded Kim that I didn’t say anything.
Then today Kim tells me her mum has been having a real moan saying stuff like "I don’t like him because he’s too self assured for a 'small lad” then she was saying she preferred one of Kim’s ex's n telling her to find someone nicer also she was going on about how I "just walked in and sat in the living room then marched upstairs" and about how I had no respect etc.. Fair play if I did do that, but I came in, said hello, sat down etc, then after about 15 mins Kim dragged me upstairs, what does she expect me to do? Say no and stay sat in the living room?
Kim’s even admitting to me that her mum is now just trying to blag her head so much that she finishes me, she insists she wont but..?
So what should I do? Go round when Kim isn’t in and have a word with her mum? Ignore it and carry on?
Even if I did go round I’d have no idea what to say.
*edit*
Her mum has caught her givin me a wee handjob on the settee and her stepdad caught us in bed....But thats what young people do... |

I doubt she's ever going to like you, my best advice is to be civil to her infront of Kim and then Kim will see that she is ignoring you, and maybe take action, though the last thing you will want to happen is a him or me sort of situation.
Just be pleasant to her and it will really wind her up, what she is wanting is for you to be cold and to ignore her which will give her more ammo, don't let that happen either.
I doubt the handjob incident will have helped though. |

Tell her to get a lock on her door!
As for the rest of it, it's a pretty poor situation. But it happens more than you might think, though I've never had a problem. The only thing you can do is hope she comes round to you and don't make the situation worse by flaring up at her. Just be respectful. |

Few things to do here really.
1) you could go our of your way to be nice and cheesy and just grin and bare it till she comes to terms with the fact that you're porking her "little girl"....
2) you could try and twist things round and win over the step Dad and make sure Kim fights in your corner, making her mum the odd one out so to speak.
3) shag her mum
4) marry Kim
5) let her mum catch you and your GF in a totally bizarre act of coitus so that she's too embarrased ever to talk to you again.
I'm sure she would be like this with any guy that was going out with her daughter so it's best to try not to take it as a personal attack on you.. |

Question for the parents on here.
You walk in the room to find your daughter knocking one out for a guy she has know less than a month (in the lounge!), as well as catching her grinding uglies. Are you :
A) Overjoyed
B) A little cautious
or C) Too busy removing said boys love spuds to answer?
I think your not doing too bad mate! God help any future daughter I have!
Give it time mate, it's been three weeks. I can almost shit for that long ____________________ How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?

My mum didn’t like this one girl I met because after I split with my missus for two years (my mum really liked her) she came in my room and I was playing PS2 while this girl was sat on my bed. My mum said that was a bit ‘off’ kinda like what you’ve done there.
You didn’t do it intentionally so fuck it, it’s your life.
Forget what she says, every time you go round take her upstairs and make sure they hear what your doing.

Next time your rumbled with your missus giving you a five knuckle shuffle on mummy's sofa, ask her if she wants to join in!
I'm sure it'll go down a treat! ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

That's priceless.
I was feeing that you were hard done by until the hand-job incident. Oh dear.
The mum's dislike to you is perfectly natural, it was probably exactly the same for the last boyfriend.
If I were you I would be too embarassed to see the woman again but if she's bad mouthing you then you might have to address the situation. Tell her it's not on and you'll do dirty things to her daughter on her sofa if she doesn't quit slagging you off. ____________________ GSXR600 |

Can I be honest here???
Aw phuket I'm going to be anyway...
Firstly I feel for the poor mum, be honest, in her mind your going to get her baby pregnant within the first month and half, then your going to bugger off and leave her in a grotty flat with no prospects, and no life.
(how old was her mum when she had her first child?) Think about it.. It's possible she wants her daughter to have more out of life that she did!
A mother's worst nightmare would be for her daughter to be used and abused by their boyfriends, although it's guaranteed to happen, it's the way of the world.
Getting your rocks off in her mum's living room was damn disrespectful. These people are allowing you into their home, and thats all you are doing is porking their daughter! (This is how she will see it anyhow)
Thing is, Chances are it's not going to last, and her mum is the one who has to help her pick up the pieces in the long run.
I agree with the be nice (but don't go overboard) and maybe the staying away from there for a while.
Yes, getting the step-father on side would help, but I'd also be inclined to actually grab a quiet word with the mum and actually apologise!
Thing is you're probably not going to take any of the advice on this forum, but try to see it from other's perspectives eh? ____________________ Funny, I used to hate being spanked as a child!

It's good that you've bin honest, i'm not the first boyfriend Kims had and i wont be the last, we were talking about pregnancy and shit the other day, she's not once had a pregnancy scare, not that will make any difference to her mum i suppose.
I do actually like Kim, and i'm not just using her for sex, although i can see where your coming from about the disrespectful thing, on my defence the house was empty at the time, and my hands were where they could be seen, so it /may/ look like i was behaving myself..
The reason i posted the thread was for advice, so of course i will take it. I'll have to try and think of what to say to her mum though, they are not the poshest family in the world and if i went round and started being soppy with them no doubt they would just start ripping into me.
They go away for 2 weeks in 5 days, so i'll have to see what it's like when they get back. |

I was thinking more to what Loz said, but I was being nice.
Ha
Either her mum was jealous that her daughter had your cock in her hand
Or she thinks you’re a pratt because you act like one.

Utterly no encouragement at all but:
My mum has only ever liked one of my boyfriends, and now I own a house with him.
Whilst my mum likes you, she thinks that you, Shaun and JP are strange northerners. (Shaun is the 'funny one').
All in all, being a bloke is hard work - Mother in laws are always impossible to please and it's likely Kim's mum is being even more protective of her little girl because her biological father isn't around to be the big scary Dad.
Whilst she might not be being overly civil to you, at least she hasn't stopped you seeing her daughter or openly told you she doesn't like you yet.
