basically i mate of mine wants to get broadband now, ive got ntl which i think is ok but don't really use my home computer that much. he can't get that because of where he lives.
so the question is what would you go for? he won't be using it all the time maybe just a few hours a day. so something like these 15 quid a month ones will do.
any advice appreciated.

thanks
phill

NTL are shyte. Never again will I use them.
I use Wanadoo/Orange which isnt too bad but you need to pay an extra 10 per month for line rental.
Been told to steer clear of Bulldog and Tiscally.
Dont think any net provider will be 15 per month unless its special offer. Most are 17.99 I think.

Now signed up for talk talk. £20 a month which is 8Mb broadband, phone line rental and free landline calls all day every day.

Just waiting for the line to be activated. That's the main problem. activation takes a while. People complain about customer support with them but I've never had a problem.

I agree about NTL. Never had an issue with Broadband but after using their TV package and dealing with their staff I'll never use them again!

I have 8mb broadband from Virgin.net for £17.99 a month.

They have been really reliable since using them for the last few month, apart from one day when my connection speed dropped to 2.3mb.. but that's still a good speed so i didn't complain Smile

Click the link

Apparently i have a 6gb download allowance each month.. never knew that, i've gone waaaaay over each month and they've not batted and eyelid.. meh Smile

Also forgot to mention, there isn't any 12 month contract with Virgin BB, so theres no commitment like most other broadbands.

I use NTL, £17.99 for 1MB. If you manage to get past the customer service you should be o.k.

Speed is good but means crap when you meet your download cap. That £17.99 Virgin one only has a 6Gb download allowance per month. I can do that in a week easy. Thumbs Down You got to watch them. Rolling Eyes
