The full story said it will gradually shut your throttle off. How many times have you had to use a good old twist of the right wrist to get you out of trouble? I'd bet it hapens on a regular basis.
It's just as stupid as the car that couldn't speed, and was limited by a gps speedo.

Hi
This has been going on for ages. The initial study was done about 6 years ago (ABD press release about it), and they have been busy developing the cars and now bike since then. There is a fair chance that it could happen, and they also think it would only need ~60% of the cars on the road to have them fitted for it to slow all the traffic down (basically clog the roads up).
Suspect the first stage would be to use Health & Safety rules to insist that company cars must have it fitted.
Getting round it? If voluntary then not a problem. If compulsory then do not expect to be able to ride / drive older vehicles on the road normally for long afterwards.
All the best

It was the sun, owned by Rupert Murdoch, so you can guarantee it's accurate.

weren't Lotus doing a study ages and ages ago into this?
i know they had an engine that worked on vairable valve timing to turn a 4 stroke to a 6 stroke to be more efficient. They were going to branch on this technology stating that the engine could then be 'controled' by satalite or speed signs to restrict the max speed & power output of the car upto the allowed speed. I duno if that is still being persued?
I think the goverment would be more in favour of the intellegent Speed Camera's that log your time between cameras to find your average speed then impose a fine if your too fast easy money for them ____________________ A scientist crossed a skunk with an owl. It's all true, all of it. All new bikes will come with a helmet that only protects you on that particular bike, so you have to wear it. The buzzer is inside the shell, so you cant get to it, and is connected wirelessly to the ECU.
The seat has what has been called in the design stage "Bucking Bronco" technology, allowing you to be shaken violently until you turn a corner, at which point you will fall off.
The third warning isn't so much a closed throttle, it's actually a small EMP pulse that is triggered, completely shutting the bike down. Of course, if you're filtering at the time, it will also cause vehicles engines either side of you to turn off, so filtering will become illegal. Any attempt to filter will instantly activate the brakes. ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/fuzzbcf/
