HI there i need to get some panniers and i was looking at either:

Frank Thomas cargo @ £30 from Ebay used once

Oxford 1st time @ £35 go pick them up from Infinity motorcycles

Anyone had any experiences good or bad with either?

Cheers

I've got the Oxford Hump Back Panniers.

Purchased the from Forest Edge Retail (they also have an Ebay site).

Come with waterproof covers, more bungees than an Australian Extreme Sports Enthusiast and are relatively simple to fit/remove - Never had any problems with them at all Thumbs Up

i've never used panniers but i have two tank bags both from GIVI,
i can say that the build quality is great and although priced higher than oxford gear they will probably last longer and definitely have more functionality.

I quite like the FT Cargo kit.

I don't own the panniers but I have a tail pack and tankbag of theirs both bought in 2001, and still going strong now.

The seem very well made and still waterproof, however the bungee's wore through after about 2 years, but they were easily replaced by £2 jobbies and FT are really good about the guarantee aswell, cos with my tankbag the securing strap snapped and they replaced it FOC for me without any fuss!

The cargo ones are the better ones of the two as the oxford first time ones are pasrt of oxfords budget luggage range. The first time is perfectly adequate and will do the job but the cargo ones are a better quality and will last you longer....they are bigger too.
