They generally dont bother about black visors aslong as you arent driving at night with a full tint on or anything stupid like that. ____________________ Will work for petrol

I got pulled for the first time ever a few weeks ago. Was doing 39 in a 30 and the only thing he wanted to talk to me about was the dark visor. ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |

Hi all,
Whats the worst that the police can do if they are having a bad day and decide to pull you for your visor as far as points/fines go? ____________________ Gas on, clutch out, wheel up! |

Legal tints are pathetic, dark tints are far safer in strong light.
It won't take as much abuse as a standard visor in the scratching stakes though, or at least mine didn't
Mine was stamped "not warranted shatterproof" however it held up fine when i faceplanted the kerb.

You clearly don't ride fast enough for the tint to become 'bugsplat' coloured.
I use the wipes they give you with KFC buckets

Nah I'm just lazy...
Oh no wait...you're right...I do ride bloody slowly.
Used to have a dark visor for when I wanted to look 'cool'. But now I just couldn't give a rats arse. The hyper optiks insert dulls the sun glare down a bit to make things visible enough. |

I have a black visor ready for riding in bright sunlight... and a clear visor with hyper-optik insert for all other times.
Whenever I use the black visor though I always have a bum bag/visor carrier with the clear one as a reserve.... "I was just about to swap them over officer" ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N
