When I bought my CBR600F it came with a standard and micron can. I've kept the standard on it for now but thinking about putting the micron on (next door neighbours teenage son has just taken up drumming so fancy a bit of revenge Wink)

Just wondered what the percentage of riders is that use standard/quiet cans so vote away Smile

My previous Bandit 12 was well loud, had a scorpion with the baffles removed Razz

My ZX6 is quiet as a lamb, the only noise it makes is from the Ram Air induction, but i like that kinda 'stealth'. l

EDIT: Fooling himself, basically cant afford a can, but would like one.

My Hornet still has it's standard can on and it sounds like a Leaf Blower. I don't even think it's loud enough to qualify as a Sewing machine. Laughing

But, my Bro'-in-Laws Ducati has "Open" Scorpion cans on.

WHAT?

That'll teach you not to stick your finger in there then won't it?

The baffles on my SR have yesterday given up the ghost, so it is quite possibly the loudest bike i've ever heard. Thank god i dont have to ride it anymore Smile
Its deafening - i cant start it up in the garage anymore...

My sv has the standard can chopped in half with half the baffles missing...it sounds wicked, though not very loud, but i do have to wear earplugs as standard now.

Very loud, fully grown adults have been known to cover their ears when i ride past Laughing , i think the garage must have removed the baffles when derestricting it.

There is only one pattern stainless system on the market for my bike. This comes with a choice of the road legal or 'sports' end can. They are externally identical. The road legal one is 5kg heavier and costs £30 more....

Hi

Most of the bikes have legal exhausts. Bandit has a full Akrapovic system with a removeable baffle. With the stock carbs I left the baffle in much of the time (knocked 7hp off the top and screwed up between 2000~3000), but with the flat slides on it the thing runs pretty poorly with the baffle in.

All the best

Keith
