neons

hey im new and i was wondering is it possible and legal to put neons ona yamaha aerox scooter if yes how do you do it thanks rob

for the love of god no, please dont do that. but the "legal" way that you can get away with neons on the road is, if the tube is non visiable then you are ok tuck em behind something so you can see the reflection on the ground but nothing direct from the tube, thats the way to avoid trouble for the they cant do ya for them like that if they see the tube then they can. that info from my old car modder days am glad that i left before doing anything and that info is a few years outa date so they may of changed the law since then.
Welcome to the fourms but really neons on a bike are not nice!

no problem mate, i aint 100% on that info but pretty sure and it would be a hassle to find some small enough ones and wire them up properly, and since you can only have them on when your stood still no point.

I thought that they were illegal if they were the same colour as emergency service vehicle's lights (eg. example blue).

Also, for cars at least, I thought it was illegal to have red visible from the front or white/yellow from the back as people could be confused as to which way you were travelling

As far as I am aware, fitting neons is legal, but using them while moving is illegal. You should make sure you have them properly fused, safely fitted, and have them easily switched on and off.

God help your alternator keeping them all lit.

p.s. This is possibly the most tasteless idea I have ever come across. The 'Style Police' will have to lock you up and throw away the key!

neon lights are illegal if used on the roads, if we fit them at work we have to make the customer sign disclamer forms. so are strobes (because u look like an emergancy vehicle)
