After Ive been out for a ride on my sv...(and Im not talking huge distances or anything) I have started noticing that the frame gets hot...and I cant remember if it always did that, or its something new. Can anyone assist? Is this normal?

After driving my car, the bonets hot.

The heat from the engine and exhaust that is conducted through the mounting brackets and hangers and eventually heats the metal frame of the bike.

Its normal Wink

I wonder why I didnt notice it before....I would have held that to warm up my fingulars rather than the engine!

Yeah my Kawasaki used to burn my legs if not travelling over say, 60 mph.

For some reason my Honda burns my ass Neutral

Yes, it's normal. Particularly when the weather's hot which adds to the heat generated from the engine. The frame of my ZZR gets burning hot sometimes - too hot to touch - and I can feel it burning my legs through my trousers.

Thanks peeps, you've all made me feel so much better, I thought something extremely dodgy was going on.

I just cant work out why I hadnt noticed before....very puzzling!!! Confused

my dt125re does that. Sometimes you dont notice it but other times its like the underneath of the seat is on fire..
