Hi new to this forum and new to biking. Been communiting to london and back for 4 months now, doing 36 miles a day and have just passed my big bike test today.

Just one question on insurance. From personal experience are there any recommended companies for a 21 year old on a 600 sports bike, probably an 04 model? And what prices do you think are acceptable?

Welcome to the forums mate Smile

To be honest there isn't really a good all round insurance company. It all depends on the person and their own personal details etc. Someone posted something about this the other day and said something like "if there was one good insurance company there'd be no need for the others." - which is true.

So my opinion mate would be to shop around =] Try and find a site like confused.com that can search loads of brokers at once. I don't know any good biker versions of confused.com. Anyway good luck mate

You have to shop around, but a lot of people seem to get good quotes from Bennetts or ebike.

I tried MCE online but the quote was rubbish so I forgot about it until they called me back today and beat my best quote by £45!!

Moral? Use the telephone Laughing

Cheers guys. I have been driving for 4 years and each year its a battle of wits against the insurance companies. I ring atleast 30 companies to get the best quote and usually takes up a whole saturday. I was just hoping of a few recommendations so I could narrow the ringing down to around 5 or so
