Hey guys, just a few questions Smile

Im uncertain of the rules of the C.B.T.

I took one when I was 16 to ride my Moped, everything was fine blah blah blah, now Im 18 and have bought an RS125 and am about to take my CBT for geared bikes, will it be legal for me to ride it once I pass the CBT or is there another I need to take? I thought the restrictions were 125cc / 11kw until you were 21 and you had passed your full lisence,

Hoping to find some sense in it all, and hoping to ride my RS125 come the day after my test, thanks in advance - Brod.

Nope,

Just pass the CBT.

I take it you're taking it again because you're last one expired after two years?

Cheers, this is the bike in question:

https://img75.imageshack.us/my.php?image=9e1ui4.jpg

Picking it up in 5 days and im already biting my nails, my father/uncle are all bikers and the idea of a car disgusts me Cool , My test is booked for 2 weeks so standing there looking at it will be hard, but worthwhile in the end.

Can't wait!

Also, whats the law on de-restriction of this bike?

Not allowed unless you pass your full DAS test or wait for the A2 33BHP period to run out.

The RS125 exceeds the maximum PtW ratio of the A2 license theoretically.

In practice it most likely won't be making anything near it's quoted peak derestricted power, so you might be alrite on an A2.

So im ok with it fully restricted, yes? Smile I'm not looking for full power yet, I learned from my father the art of riding a motorbike is not the speed, I've got the rest of my life to try kill myself, why start now? Very Happy

P.S hows this bike in the winter? I plan to ride it during the winter providing the conditions are just abit cold and not icey/snowing, any precautions I can take to help preserve it?

Buy a can of ACF50 and take the fairings off, spray a LIGHT film inside and replace fairings, coat all outside parts APART from brake discs, tyres, etc in a LIGHT film.

Rinse road shit off every so often, reapply ACF50 when water stops beading off of the bike, internal coating should last a yearish.
