Well, now that im back from paris ive started on my mini-project. Ive called it mini due to the bike being machanically sound and is road worthy. Im just going to be cleaning up the paint work and shineing up some metal parts Craig23 style Very Happy

So, first step i decided was a good wash and a polish and some WD40ing bit and bobs. Not very interesting i know but it would be good to get it clean to know what really needs to be done. Was also nice just to get to know the bike aswell.

So, heres the Zed when i got it out. It was the first time since that i have really moved a bike around and to get it where i wanted i started it up and ride it (like 6 metres) and was very weird Shocked , though felt nateral still which is good.

This is it clean

These are the wheels that after a bit of WD40 were starting to look nice, to get them really nice ill need to use a paddock stand i think
https://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d20/andy13_uk/DSC00329.jpg

This is the first area i think ill do next time, the minor scratches on nose. Im also going to take the screen off which very annoyingly was bolted on and not one of the screens that dont require drilling Twisted Evil . Maybe even a look on ebay for a nice frount fairing to replace current on if theres any good deals.

The tail is ok but again has some scratches (none as big as nose though) i think ill just T-Cut this and get it looking nice again.

so all in all not that much work needs doing. Its never going to how it did out of the showroom but ill get it looking nice. Also plan to remove the shock and clean it up and make it maybe a little shiny while im at it. Oh and to buy a haynes manual, that could be useful Very Happy

Not quite sure what you mean about the screen.

Anyway, just in case you don't know already, here are some forums that may prove useful:

Coming together nicely. Hmmmm, wonder how well those pipes would react to a bit of wet'n'dry.

Worth a go I would say Craig. Gorgeous Zed Andy, wish I had the cash to afford one of those beauts!

Andy,

Before you remove the flip from your screen, ride the bike.

That type of screen is very effective at deflecting the wind blast around you.

You might find that you prefer the bike with it on.
