....... No not me, not curry night yet
But this morn going to work the wind was mighty high.
Ive done a few miles with some rain and wind and found it not to be bad, just more cautious.
But today, I was tense as anything and felt so unsafe.
For people who have had Scoots n gone to motorbikes is it the same feeling?
The wind shoving you all over the place (the gap between legs in front of bike' or is it different as you are like a solid object?? |

depends on the bike really. there's times i've went along side of the shore on the roads and i've been blown onto the other side of the road because of the wind. thing is if you don't feel safe ride slower than normally ____________________ Northern Irish Biker? www.nibikers.com |

I have the same problem at work in winter, we have a huge site with huge buildings. When you pass between them on the bike its like a wind tunnel, I too have been blown right accross the road when trying to turn left into the wind and it refused to go. Very worrying. A bloke at work once said 'The wind picked me up and dropped me on my side' but I took that to mean he'd dropped it in the carpark!! ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |

Modern lightweight Sports bikes can be a nightmare in the wind. The fairing acts like a windsurfing sail.
I remember, many moons ago, when I had my RGV250, used to get blown all over the place on that.
That sudden gust as you pass side roads in town, when there's a bus comming the other way... |

Had this up a while ago myself as it is worrying for me. Get tossed about the roads alot being on the sea front where i am. Best think i do is to take alternative roots as its an aweful experiance bricking it while driving in winds. Does not matter how much yu grip the tank it will only make you feel a bit safer but still not add weight to keep you on one place unless you put bricks on paniers like someon surgested, then i would fall over withthe bike ____________________ All the breast.

scooters are awful for getting blown about in the wind, just stick it out, either that or pass your test and buy a bike like my zephyr, which is fabulous in wind as it has no faring and weighs almost as much as oxfordshire. ____________________ Bluespark Automotive - Diesel Tuning for Performance and Economy |

Noticed a hell of a difference between my RS50 and ZXR400 in windy conditions (going over bridges and where u exposed to wind).
RS was getting blown about, but ZXR felt planted and more stable. (...not that I've been riding the ZXR without licence or insurance ) ____________________ Present: GS650 Katana - Getting ready for summer touring!
