yamaha aerox

hey im just wondering wat yall think of a yamaha aerox? cos i got one and just wanna know wat goes wrong and is it easy to repair?cheers rob

I've got the 100, had it for 2.5 years, never had any problems with it apart from flat tyres and a batch of bad petrol that fooked up the engine for a week or so. My advice is don't run it right to the bottom of the tank, to avoid slurping up all the cack at the bottom.

Otherwise, fairly bullet-proof quite frankly, not had anything fail or go wrong.

Ive been riding mine for around a month now. Not had any serious problems. Just tyres seem to go down fairly oftern (well they feel flat) The power seems to of droped at the moment also.
Going to Brighton next week (60ish miles) So will repost if all is ok.
Altho I hear it can cut out if it rains

Good little machines, Though far too small for me

Keep on top of servicing it, I'd only derestrict it if you want a little more speed but keeping reliability.

Dont try and tune it until you know exactly what your doing

I had the Jog R and I think the only mechanical different is the Aerox is liquid cooled. My air filter got blocked twice, so keep an eye out for that if it won't start.

I had a 99 YQ50 for a year and it was a hoot

loved every minute of it, only things i can think of is you need to keep an eye on the zorst, it corrodes badly at the attachement bracket causing the weld to fail and the silencer also has a habbit of falling off (my exhaust was badly rusted i had the weld fail at the bracket and the silencer fall of within a week)

aparently they can be a bugger to derestrict, after the zorst saga i had a Leo-Vinchi fitted and it was a nightmare! no poke what so ever untill it hit 30 then shot off to 45 (the mechanics never did figure out what was wrong with it and went back to a yami genune zorst) also keep an eye in the rear shock, aparently they also have a habbit of the damper failing apart from that its a faily solid reliable machine and i enjoyed it.

i think mine was setup, well it was done by the yam dealer i got the bike off, we worked out a sports zorst would be cheaper and othey fitted that, had no joy, de-restricted the exhaust port put sports rollers on it and new springs, had no joy fitted another Leo-Vinchi and had the same results,
in the end they lost out cos they could never sort the bike out so i ended up only paying for a yami genuine zorst. what a bloody saga that was! then the bike was wirtten off two months later

aerox lad the aerox do sometimes cut out when it rains all you need to doo is to change the air filter to an atermarket filter

anyonee recomend what rollers to putt in my aerox too get best performance thanksss

Hi there guys I have a Yamaha aerox 2015 model had it derestricted I had a performance exhaust, 68 main jet and 3.5 g variate rollers but the bike seems to be doing more Erving than moving does anyone no how I can change this I have been told to change the rollers and main jetting but am not sure whether to put heavy rollers and jetting or Liechtenstein can someone help please

Nice revive, and your rollers are to light, try 5.5 or start looking at lighter clutch springs.
