no Tv capture stuff but what i was thinking was that i have a s-video port on my computer and a s-video port on my sky plus box...........

I think you get the jist.

it'll never work mate.
youll need a TV tuner card in your PC.

well what i was thinking was that i record a program on sky plus then somehow send it via the s-video lead to the computer.

Or is it not that simple?

nope its not that simple.

the s-video on your PC will be a TV out so you can hook it up to a telly to watch instead of the monitor. so you wont be able to receive a signal into it.
