Does anybody on here know where I can pick myself up some Alpinestars MX-1 1 piece in blue and white. I've looked everywhere I can think of and cant find a single store that has it on shelf. I can buy it online but i cant justify spending £800+ on leathers I aint tried on.

Any help appreciated

cheers Thumbs Up

Generally you'll find that sort of thing is cheaper online than in shops.

Oh, and not what you're asking - but had you considered made to measure for that price?

just go into a local bike clothing shop which sells alpinestar brand - try on a MX1 in your size and then order the color of your choice - it isnt hard to placde an order with a shop.

All you do is say - please order xxxx in my size please.

I'm with G here, if you're going to spend £800 on a set of leathers, have them custom made for you by someone like Crowtree.
I consider when you buy Alpinestar leathers you're paying £200 - £250 for the leathers, and £600 for the priveledge of having the A star logo. The leathers are far far inferior to M2M Crowtrees in every respect - fit, comfort, crash - ability, protection. One crash in your Alpinestars and you may need to bin them, Crowtrees will crash time and time and time again.

Zimbo is it just me or crowtree looks dated as hell??

Some of the suits in that gallery look weird, and plus all the safety tests they have done were in 1997/98.

Ive heard good things about the mx-1 so think I will stick with them. Fair enough they may not last as long as the crowtree's but they damn sure work in a crash. Can always buy a second pair.

Went into bikers world in coleshill who said they could order it. But they want me to pay up front without even trying it on AND I have to wait 6 damn weeks for it.

Most of the Alpinestar stuff I've had I've considered a bit shoddy quality - they should work ok for your first crash, but may need replacing after that.

You can create your own design with crowtree - also those in the know would consider it a much 'better' logo to have on your leathers than Alpinestar Smile.

Your choice however - but this is coming from my experience when I first got leathers etc and went for Alpinestar and Dianese stuff, then regretted it.
