Need serious advice about cats!!!

Guys im having massive problems with the cat that lives next door, I managed to stop it just walking into our house and eating anything it could find, by spraying it with water when it did come in.
Its learnt that lesson now and wont come in even if I leave the back door open.

Now its started leaving dead birds etc and sh*tting all over my garden!, it really is getting nasty.

Now im ready to burry the damn cat, but I'm prepared to listen to other options from people who like cats and may have a simple solution!.

If you have cats yourself, you cant use any kind of repelent to keep this one out?

or if you dont have cats, you need to scare the hell outa this one so it wouldnt want to come back

It's bringing you birds because it feels sorry for you, not being able to catch them yourself. Sounds very much like it has adopted you because it feels sorry for you . In my experience water pistols are the only none fatal thing that works.

Get lots of wooden forks like you get with bag's of chips.

Put them all over your garden, pushing them into the ground, for a week with the pointy bit facing upwards. Should learn not to come in after a while. This sounds cruel but isnt as they just wont tread on them.

The prise on that site is a bit hefty but you can pick them up a lot cheaper. Alternatively get a roll of barbed wire.....

Don't whatever you do physically harm the cat. It's not viewed with favour by the RSPCA.

I have air rifles etc and I so wish it was legal to nail this damn thing like any other pest, but its someone lovely fluffykins so thats out the window.
Need to findaway of detering it without harm, only real option I think is a water pistol/hose pipe.

I found those sentry things they are £55!!, im thinking about going round and asking them to clean the cat sh*t out my garden!.
Or pay for one of these things. wonder how that will go down?.

I would throw it over the fence, but lets say the cat seems to have a poor constitution quite often!

Found some interesting things about cats on my search today, the RSPB is doing research as they beleve the comestic cat is a significat factor in the reduction of birds and small mamals etc.
And even the people who are self confessed cat lovers who run a site calle deteracat agree that when they mess in other people gardens cats become a pest!!.

There is some stuff called Renadene, which keeps foxes and the likes away.........gives off a very nasty,pungent smell.....and it really does work.

no its legal as long as it dosent leave your garden, you can also carry it to say a shooting range ect as long as you are taking it somewhere, but it has to be in a case, i carry mine on my ped all the time, been pulled before but they just asked what kind of gun it was.

btw i went to the police station and checked all the laws

If you still have problems,

take the cat, put it in a microwave

turn it on full power 10seconds at a time

ie first time, 10 seconds

if he does it again, do it for 20seconds and so on

he should learn pretty quick not to come in

We've got two black labs and teh next door neighbours cats never come into our garden.

Whats funny is we now have a cat too and that seems to sit in our garden with our two dogs sticking its up at all the other cats hanging around
