Have you gone with your right body size? Or have you gone one size up? Same with leg length.

My Draggin Jeans are men's (as the women's were skin tight 80's style) and my textiles and leathers are womens (Frank Thomas). My mate Kara got women's textiles but found men's leathers better. . . . just try stuff on I guess. Whatever is most comfortable and affordable for you go with!

I have got a pair of draggin camo's which are unisex fit and I had to modify them to fit my waist. Embarassed My pair of ladies draggin cargos however fitted a treat. I have some waterproof overtrousers for when I ride to work which are men's and they fit just fine.

So I think it is down to trial and error, and perhaps how curvy you are!? Wink

Im a size 14/16 with a 32 leg lenght. I always find it hard to get trews fitted right.
So, will try the book first.
Will let yer know!

I went with what fitted me, went to a shop and tried stuff on.

The legs were a little long, so I shortened them.

Does it really matter how it looks?

Will look a lot less stupid if they're used and it means she's less injured because of it.
And on a scooter , you're hardly the height of cool anyway Smile.

yes but i thought the only advantage of leathers, were you slide, doing 60 mph top out you wont slide too far so textiles at a cheaper price should do just as good a job ?

Leathers have better abrasion resistance.
You can get leathers for about as cheap as textiles.

If you say had the bike sliding on top of you, even at relatively slow speeds I wouldn't be suprised if textiles wore through.

TBH I dont give a shit how I look, as long as IM protected.
I was asking for advice on leathers and textiles. I didnt say I was going to get either.
After seeing a freind arm after comming off at 35mph im all for the better protection.
Besides, Im going for a bigger bike as we speak so leathers would be fine.

I got some lovely fitting lady textile and leather trousers off Ebay, normally a size 10 - 12 in bottoms but had to go a size up as tighter fit. They have all the protection built in as you would expect and I paid about £60 for them if I recall. I did buy a leather pair previously in a 12 but were way tight, sold them for double what I paid for them, did alright on that Laughing
Just pop in a few shops and try some on I say, its the only way Thumbs Up

as stink says , leathers = slides , textiles = grip and roll , I reckon leathers are good where there is an opportunity to slide safely ie on a track of quiet country lanes , but in the city where there is lots other traffic.

Saw a girly bike shop in Dorking last month. Take a look if you had a girly sized rear.

I personally have always had mens leather trousers but i have had to have the length adjusted. I would prefer ladies but at size 16/18 i can never find them to fit. Same goes for trying to get the bosoms into a ladies jacket!! Rolling Eyes

I've got both. My textile trousers are Dainese and are a great fit and comfortable too. I take a 12/14 in UK sizes but the Dainese equivalent is a 46 (their sizes are different to normal Euro sizing). My leather trousers (which I've only ever worn once) are ladies Richa. I prefer my textiles as they are thinner and more comfortable. They've also got armour in them whereas my leathers haven't.
