NSR Barends

I was wondering what after market barends anyone has managed to fit to an NSR.

I bought some nice Motrax ones today and they didn't fit Despite saying that the design ensured they fitted securely to all bikes.
Shame, Because they were quite nice.

I cant find anything that is designed/fits the NSR

I have succesfully fitted these to my NSR. They are from MOTRAX, 15 quid.

Thats the ones I've got mate but in silver. Very smart. It seems as though the rubber is too wide to fit inside my bars though.

How did you find it? Did it go in no probs or did you bodge it somehow?

Right mate you'll have to let me in on your technique. I just placed it in and hammered the living daylight out of it with a heavy rubber mallet, and it wouldn't go in

Cut half the rubber tube off then they should go in with a bit of malleting. and file a bit off the sides and some D40 and should go in fine. They're pretty smart but you might notice some more vibration through your handlebars, there is only just enough to notice it but you'll get used to it.

Success. The first one put up a bit of a fight, but i showed it who's boss.

The second end I done a bit different - for future reference what I done was not to cut the rubber at all, instead I sliced down the sides with a stanley knife ( just like the local take away slices that big bit of donner kebab meat on the skewer thingy)

that way I got the rubber all the way in and it's a bit more solid.

Yeah they are well smart. Once I get the bike back on the road i'll let you know if the 'Kebab' technique is any better with the vibration

Just to let you know mate, my bar ends are vibration free

Looks like the "Kebab technique" works a treat then.
