Yes

We are leaving from Reading (not sure exactly where), at 1pm

We are taking a non-motorway route as it should make for a nicer ride at sensible speeds Smile

We have: Me, Danny, G, Korn, Luke, craig so far

I accept no responsibily at all if we all get lost and end up somewhere else Razz

I've got it sorta worked out somehow Smile

Heading through reading towards oxford (A8475?), then a little way on the A34, and then heading onto the A44 which takes us most of the way there

I might try and figure out another route but I reckon this will be alright Smile

3 o'clock is good for me, I'll have a look at this proposed route tomorrow, but if it's 45minutes just to Oxford I might just take the motorway instead coz my bike is extremely uncomfortable over distance and I'm not sitting on it for 3hrs when I coulda done it in 2.

I was using an example Hex, it's 160miles from me, I live 80miles away from G so I don't wanna get there after 1.5hrs on the road then pootle along country lanes going through towns called Little Dumplingtion with a 20mph zone and lollipop ladies blocking the road...if you get my drift

Nah I'm with Pho on this one like, nowt like aching from hours and hours sat on a bike to put you off wanting to crawl along when a perfectly good fast motorway is there ready to be used Very Happy

I think there is something wrong with the way i ride, anything over 30 mile on any bike and i get a really stiff neck.

Its not just the crazy riding position on my RS125, it happens on my CBR and it used to happen on my scooter as well. I think I may just be really tense when im riding or something Sad

I did a 300ish mile ride last week and my neck ached for two days.

Only problem i've ever had as a numb bum and legs but thats due to the seat really.

Cant say my wrists have ever ached or my neck.

Rideing round town (and covering the brake alot) seems to give me pins and needels, or when I have a pillion who puts a lot of pressure on me has the same effect.

Mike your neck thing is the fact your a bit tense in your neck and sholders, every now and then try to drop your sholders/rotate your neck a bit, you'll see how tight you are. For the best riding you need to be nice and relaxed mate. It happens to me occasionally and I can feel the tension building in my neck - happens a lot at work as well!

I'm not decided what Ill do yet, still havent check out this route via oxford will do this evening. But the Blade seat is the worst bit, it was absolute agony coming the 260miles back form Elvington. And my back suffers a small amount, wrists are fine, neck only starts to ache if i sustain 120+(specially with a tankbag).

Can you get some decent directions, not just nicked from a mapping thingy?

Will it be possible to say meet at mine for 3, so we are leaving at 3?

If anyone wants to get here earlier and have a rest, you're welcome to.
