Just booked a trackday at snetterton, it was 65 notes for an entire day! Spoke to the ticket seller and she said its the hardest track in the UK to sell tickets for. If it was on a weekend she said they'd be charging 120 quid for it!

Seems very cheap and she said theyre just selling it to cover cost.

Is this cos the track is pants?

Snetterton's quite a easy circuit. I quite like it.

It can also catch you out quite easily if your not careful re: braking distances.

Is it your first track day? As it's excellent novice track.

Also for your information, normally you can stay the night before (although take extra blanketts it gets very cold)

As Davo said.

I like Snetterton - it's not as technical as some others, but means you can get nearer to 'mastering' it, rather than just knowing where the corners are.

I did my first trackday at Snetterton and loved it. Really easy to learn but as the day goes on it gets more technical as you get faster.

Would really like to go back there actually.

Also will trackday organisers stop listing it on their books if its so unpopular Confused

People often like to go for 'popular' circuits, Like Brands Hatch, Silverstone or Donnington, etc - often just so they can say they've been.
A lot of people presume that it's going to be 'boring' because it's relatively easy to learn - and for those not really trying, it might be Smile.

Not my first trackday, but only did one last year and have done about 4 so far this year so still a "novice".

I went to watch the BSB there earlier in the year and had a walk around to have a look at the circuit and it looks pretty good if you ask me.

Got some good straights and what look like challenging corners, i'm definitely going to have a go roung it at some point.

Hi

They have said that it is difficult to sell all the spaces at Snetterton. Possibly as it is a bit of a pain to get to from many areas.

I will be there that day taking photos.

All the best

Keith

Maybe they presume it's boring because it is... Wink

I much prefer circuits like Donington, Cadwell or Brands which have more variety (I leave out Silverstone because I'm not a big fan of that either).

Can't wait until the proposed track developments at Snett take place.
I also did Snetterton as my first track day, loved it. Thumbs Up

Ahhh, but I can try equally less hard (does that even make sense?) at Donington and enjoy it more! Razz

I like Snetterton, I paid a fair bit more than that for my day there too.

It's easy to learn, but technical enough to be fun-tacular.

Snetterton is no good for a trackday if you are on a 250 or something...

You just get wasted by right wrist wonders. The straight is so long there isn't even a lot of chance of catching up in the corners.

I prefer Cadwell. Smile

I'd prefer the people that keep getting me on the straights to bugger off or for me to be able to stay infront of them.

If you keep catching up it means you have to go to the hassle of passing the same people again and again.

Ok, I did have this on my last pace day at Snetterton, but that was more to do with it being a pace day.

Thats fair enough, the corners should be fairly clear to have some fun in whether your on a fast bike or a slow bike

I've only ridden Cadwell, does that mean every other track isn't going to seem boring in comparison? Confused I hope not

No, you just get something different out of different tracks.

Snett gives you Revett Straight, see if you can top your bike out before having to slam on for the sharp left at the end. Riches is fun too, a bit of a headfuck the first few times you do it cos it looks tighter than it is. And I like the Bombhole.

Same theory with circuits like Lydden, they don't look like much but if you're applying yourself you should still have a hoot.

They all get a bit boring if you keep going back to the same place, a bit of variety is the key. Thumbs Up

The bombhole at Snett is mental, looks like a slow corner cause it is so bumpy, but the grip is awesome, love the corner straight after cause that's where I overtook a Ducati 999 at 90MPH on a 33BHP Bandit. Razz ON THE OUTSIDE!!! Laughing

Cool track just a shame about the mega boring straights but I suppose it'd be slightly better if I wasn't on a minipoop.
