Embarassed

Erm...
basically, the point is this

I have an 06 Vauxhall Astra (courtesy car)
I can't figure out how to open the petrol cap
Laughing Rolling Eyes

The cap is plastic and just spins round and round when I turn it
No lock on it
I have tried pushing it in, twisting it,... looked for a button...
can't do it Evil or Very Mad

ANyone give me the simple (I am sure) answer >?

Thanks in advance

Unlocked

Maybe I just need to twist it harder and put a bit of force into it
Confused
I am a bit heavy handed, dont want to break it
Thought with it being a new car it would be easy peasy

possible the cap has been replaced with a push in/ pull out one, as it's a courtesy car, i hired an astra earlier this year and it was definitely an anti-clockwise screw out and the flap would only open with the doors unlocked

I was pushing in and screwing ( Mr. Green )
but nothing was happening
I just had to give it MEGA force and twist, twist...
he presto !

Was scared of breaking it I think

Jesus..it was harder to undo than my 92 Polo !

Ha, thats okay Karma

And believe it or not, they won't supply manuals with these cars cos people nick them Shocked
So, in all the courtesy cars I have had, I have no clue how loads of the buttons work
it's a nightmare
And quite dangerous sometimes
I press one button for something, but it makes something else happen Embarassed

Our courtesy car had no wheel trims cause people nicked them too.

It sucked without them.

I hate it when they have "blah blah courtesy cars ltd" on the side cause it might as well say "I crashed my car, so i'm driving this posh car for a week".

Haha, yeah
At least mine doesn't have the cra**y writing all over it

It is nice having a brand new car to play around with
It's the second one in 2 weeks I have had
The first was an 06 KA that I loved !
I am not as impressed with the Astra, it feels... 'gritty' to drive
Not as smooth as the KA and a bit bulky
I like the air con though Wink
