I had a bike sat behind me in traffic the other day, and I can't work out what it was. It sat behind me for a while and then filtered past (too quickly for me to see the make/model) when I stopped in traffic at lights. It was fully faired, with twin separate round headlights (one of the reasons I took particular note, not very common on faired bikes) and I saw it had twin high level cans when it stopped at the lights ahead of me. Anyone any ideas?

Cheers

M

Honda vrf800 i'd guess, twin high levels, and round headlights (allbeit behind a sculpted plastic lens)

And the rear...

Could possbibly have been a Triumph, i forget model the name, but they're like a pan euro in silhouette, and you don't see many around.

To me, that kind of rules the Speed Triple out...

I think we have a winner, the SP-2 in black, headlights looked round from a distance and the exhausts are steeply sloped to give a high level look from behind. Cheers!

Plus the fact that it was fully faired.

I would have said that straight away but you didn't say the headlights were angular. Rolling Eyes

The headlamps themselves are actually round on the SP-2, just set into a shaped recess

https://www.honda.co.uk/mcStatic/en/picture/product/VTR1000_SP-2/full01.jpg

and seen froma distance with the lights off, all I could see was the actual shape of the light itself.
