If those directions are off multi map, dont count on them too much, they tend to miss certain roads out.

The last time i followed some directions off there I got terribly lost Embarassed

They're off the AA Route Planner, which is generally pretty good, have used it before.

I'm currently looking over *proper* maps to figure it out, but that is the basic route (ie to oxford, and then on the a44 rest of the way Smile )

oops fixed

anyway route is pretty much sorted. g knows how to get to the a34 at oxford, we then turn off onto the a44, and then that goes to m5 j7, we then take a right at the second rounabout after that junction, and follow that until we come to the next junction. we're then pretty much there Very Happy

Is the list:

Me
G
Luke
Danny
Korn
Alex (fireblade)
Alex (R6)
Craig?

anyone else? Smile

Probably worth filling up, or having enough petrol to take you all the way there if possible, its about 90-100 miles ish from G's

Got some cameras...

"Entering Woodstock from Bladon roundabout in centre of road pointing towards town approx 100 yrds before turning to Blenheim Palace. 14/1/01
As you enter Woodstock from the North the speed trap is located some 200 metres into the 30 mph. It is located on the left adjacent to the first house that is near the road. - cj 20/3/01 "

we go through there, its the first proper place we get to on the A44, within a few (maybe 5) miles of getting onto it.

There is another I think a bit before that in a place called Begbroke "Situated southbound between the Bladon roundabout and the village of Begbroke is a set of traffic lights at the junction with Langford Lane (Alongside Oxford Airport). These lights have an incredibly short amber for a 70 mph road. Do not try to run it or you will go through on the red!!!" It's in a 70 zone, and at traffic lights so should be alright Smile

Another one a bit further on, in a place called Chipping Norton, "Speed camera sited just before Funeral Directors on Left hand side as you are entering Chipping Norton, camera faces down hill 40 mph zone."

Another one, between Chipping North and Woodstock, in a place called Enstone, "Travelling towards Oxford, you enter a 30 mph limit, there is a junction on your left, as you come down the hill there is a pub on your left. The road starts to rise again and the camera is on your left just past a lay-by"

I *think* thats the lot, theyre from speedcamerasUK.co.uk which is a pretty good site, but there might be others.

There are a few passing through Pangbourne, which is near the start of the trip, so thats cool Smile A34 I don't think we go past any of the ones there so thats alright.

Hex, are there any to watch out for at that end?

No fixed ones that I know of (unless you go through worcester town center - which you shouldn't), however sometimes near to where I live they have a mobile speed trap set up (though I must admit I've never seen it!)

from what I understand you'll be following a road up to junction 7 on the m5?

well from there you have the choice of jumping onto the motorway up to junction 6 or following the bypass which has about 3 extra roundabouts on opposed to a straight road up to my little map thing.

That's what you think when you hear Zim's bike... Then you realise it's just too bloody loud. On top of things he did a back fire with some little kid standing behind it. The little boy went off running and crying home.
