Right.
My dad was a rocker. Used to make the trip down to Brighton on his Bonneville T120 to beat the mods to a pulp.
LOL. Just noticed what I did there, haha.

That's his bike.
Anyway, I want to get a tattoo in England before I go live in NZ and British biking and stuff is really close to me, like a family thing and I love the rocker history and lifestyle back then so I wanted to incorporate that into it. Can only really find this American eagle tat.
So, what stuff reminds you of British bikers and rockers and stuff? Were you a rocker or was your dad?
Just... talk about rockers cos they're awesome. ____________________ The tiger who came for a pint |

My Dad was a Mod and so was my Stepdad, doubt either of them was done over by a rocker. My Grandad was a Teddyboy .

Now totally commercialised, that is what I would say is British Biking for me as it is what most of my family were associated with, listening to The Jam, wearing Parkas and going on rallys and getting sloshed!
So given the choice I think I would be a Mod over a Rocker. |

Mods weren't bikers!
They were overdressed ped-boys
My mum was a mod on Thursdays and a Rocker on Fridays...
I think it is difficult to find something that sums up British biking now you have started me thinking, unless you go for a maker's badge. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

Wow, thanks for the top answers.
The bike badges site has thousands of good ideas which is perfect, thankyou very much.
I am playing with the idea of an Ace logo and it seems to be the best option as it captures everything about rockers imo.
Phantomtek, you've probably already seen it but if not check out Quadrophenia.
Thanks again, I appreciate the replies. ____________________ The tiger who came for a pint |

Something that sums up the "rocker" era and lifestyle?
About 16 inches of traditional (read: heavy) bike chain. Make of that what you will ____________________ I'm immortal. Well, so far. |

What about the '59' logo for the Fifty-Nine Club. VERY BIG in Rocker times.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

How about a patch of oil on your foot, every night when you took off your sock you'd feel like you been stood next to one. ____________________ Tristan the wrote: just whipped off my trousers to find a big bruise on my arse, caused by matt rear ending me... |

Lol.
Cheers for the extra ideas.
I might use this:

With regards to the chain, my dad came up with "Used to wrap it around your fist like a knuckle duster..."
Thought about getting a picture of a bike chain and draping it over the main Ace bit diagonally just to make it more interesting. I dunno. Any ideas?
EDIT: The chain idea looks poo. Never mind. ____________________ The tiger who came for a pint |
