Hey guys. Been looking at the prices of new 600's today and for some reason the Kawasaki website doesn't show the price of the ZX6R. Even the downloadable brochure doesn't say it Confused So does anyone kno the price of a basic Ninja ZX6R in Ninja Green?

Not much at the moment. The nearest dealer to me had them advertised at £5999 new when I went in on Monday. They are so cheap as Kawasaki will be bringing out a new model zx6r in 2007 so naturally they wish to get rid of all the current 2006 bikes before the end of the season.

https://www.kawasakidirect.co.uk/

£5799 there, but I thought they were £5499 last week... or maybe it's just me losing my marbles.

Green is nice, but I'd plump for a black one, personally Smile Each to their own

Maybe it was £5499 not including OTR charges. Either way £5799 is still a bit of a bargain for a brand new sports 600 Cool

Bring ads like that in with you when you go to your local dealer. If their price is higher produce the ad and see what they say about matching it. They will more than likely mumble something along the lines of 'but that's online and prices are always cheaper online as they don't have rent to pay etc'. So point out that the ad is from a real shop that has just got a website.

There's also (if you scroll down) a 2004 unused ZX636 model at £4500. No miles on it, in silver, nice looking unused bike for 2nd hand money.

Ah, so not losing my marbles. They WERE £5499 last week (or earlier?). Maybe demand has been strong, and they figure to make a bit more out of punters.

Ring Kawasaki direct tommorrow, tell them you're on about buying a Suzuki but a friend bought a ZX6r for £5499 from there and if he wants to take an order over the phone right now all he has to do is match that price, on the road, ride away.

Should be an easy £300 off Smile

Beware, the new model wont be a 636, its going back to 600. Might be better, but will probably be worse, like the new yam R6 Confused
That, and the huge saving are what made me buy my 06 Thumbs Up

Agreed, it's going to be following along similar lines as the R6 - all track focused and quite useless on the roads for anything else but posing on.

A guy at work bought a new R6 when it came out earlier this year (it's been in several magazine adverts for exhaust systems as a firm wanted something to use a reference - result=free exhaust Smile )

He rides it like a nutter, and came from various two stroke bikes, so I guess it's all down to what you're used to.

If you want to ride about, not feel like you have to race the thing and drop it two gears to make any progress, it's probably not the right bike for you.

On the other hand if you have the ability/balls/lack of conscience required to keep it in it's power band (11k rpm onwards? Not sure, I'll ask him when I see him next) it's probably quite a rewarding ride, even if ever ride feels like a workout :S

Heh, not for me! Give me a 1000cc+ torque everywhere bike anyday Smile

I got my B1h for £4999 from Wigan Motorcycles in April. I did see a C1h (the newest model) for that same price somewhere. Can't remeber where now though... The B1h is a much better looking bike though I think.
