These are where the people that are my friends come from;

Hong-Kong
Colombia
Italy
Cuba
Portugal
Hungary
Africa (various parts).

(Some friends are mixed race).

So we have a massive mix in our group of friends, which I think is reallly good. Always something good to talk about and interesting stories.

Edit: also there is a mix of religion; some are Muslim, some are Buddhist, some are Christian and some are Atheists.

Multiculturism IMHO is stupid. We need a single culture, which is British, and that culture will change ever so slightly with each new person that embraces it. The British culture today has changed significantly from what it was 25 years ago - and it would have changed even more if all immigrants had joined our culture rather than shunning it and keeping their own.

We don't need multiculturalism, with lots of individual cultures - this just creates segregation of our cities, in schools, in workplaces and everywhere else. We need integration.

In answer to your question, I have plenty of people from other races (mainly India / Pakistan / Europe, but some from all over) in my circle of friends - though most of them are well integrated into general society rather than hidden away.

I have mates from all over, and a good few from the asian continent. There my friends though because we have common interests. Multicultarlism doesn't/hasn't worked.

All my friends are white and British. I have never really thought about it or found it strange, that is just how its worked out. I or we have no problem mixing with other races on a day to day basis, we just do what comes naturaly rather than forcing ourselves to change our behaviour because someone is of a different race/religion (multiculturism).

The only people we totaly reject are pikeys.

They didn't have a problem with it, so I don't see why I should have a problem with it in 'my' country.

I dont have a problem with people of differant cultures living in this country, only the minority who want to force us to live they way they live. Contrary to popular belief not all people who come from differant cultures want the whole of England to change and live the way they do, many are very happy for every one else to go on living the way they do.

I have friends from differant cultures and they never have they tried to make up rules about what i can and cant do around them because they are from differant countries, races etc.

I'm half indian, half british white. All my friends are white, where I live the others are all these rude boy pakistani and afghan CUNTS that I hate with bitterness inspired by satan himself.
What enrages me even more, is because of my colour, I am sometimes (rare though it is due to my southern accent and general mannerism) referred to as one of them by a stranger, or whoever, I can't stand the thought of being one with them who's number bubbles with disturbing enormity in our society, the immigrants. Where I live the population is predominatley white in fact I'd say that it is perhaps 95% WASPish. Even in my workplace there are only a few non white/British people, I get on with all of them. But what I gather is there intigration into our society and culture that is the problem. I have no problem with other religions.
But when I go to places where there is a cross over over of cultures I do feel slightly threatened, only because it is alien to me.

The problem is that everyone in the government and media who creat the rules on what is politically correct, what is racist and wotnot are aliens and infact don't actually come from this planet. If the views of the majority were actually voiced instead of what a couple of idiots decide then there would be fewer problems.

However this country's got to the point where it's so damn flooded with immigrants it's now a battle between which culture/religion has the say over things. They keep letting muslims in and we'll end up being a muslim country.

Yes its easier to relate to someone if he is more similar to you, but I dont mind a few differences.

I live on a corner between 2 streets.

One street is all asian and they own their own homes. The other street is white and is either council or rented from private landlords.

Not a huge difference between, but the whites are definitely more rowdy. I was a bit wary of them at first especially as a friend recognised one of them as a smackhead from his old estate, but they dont seem too bad if you dont live right next door to them.

Id sooner have an asian neighbour any day tho. Keep themselves to themselves. Dont complain about me, or give me any reason to complain about them.

Im Scottish with a northern English accent. My Dad and his entire family are Scottish, my mother is half English half Canadian.

As for my friends.... I dont really care if they are British or not, it doesnt really matter to me, so long as they are good mates and we're happy and get on!

Just curious, since even though they might all technically believe in the same god, the various factions of Christianity seem to have found plenty of reasons to fight amongst themselves, and what's good for one branch of Christianity is quite often frowned on by another.

And yet as a general rule, in this country all of those conflicts seem to have been fought to a standstill. Thanks to growing secularity across the 'christian spectrum', its place in British society is relatively stable and benign.

Most of us are quite happy to pop to church at Christmas with the kids and subscribe to a vague 'be nice to people' philosophy, while ignoring the parts of the religion and lifestyle that we don't really identify with. Maybe one day Islam will evolve into something similar, but that day seems a long way off.
