Well what do you really want? I'd be happy with just the standard VFR/RVF in those red/white/blue colours. Smile

I think the tyga kits look pretty sweet with the single swing arm and the high-rise pointy rear... different too!

Prefer this one though:

Would love a little pocket rocket like that for the twistys!

That's what I'm wondering about.

Do I opt for a standard(ish) NC30 and try and get it to the same standard as the Blade? Or do I opt for this example, a little bit different, maybe not as good quality, and just continue the project?

My thoughts exactly.

Craig, if you like it get it. Stuff what everyone else thinks.

Personally I think the bodywork is awesome. The paint job can be changed for a couple of hundred quid.

But the bottom line is, it looks very modern, with the USD front end etc will be a good handling 400.

I'd go for it.

Thumbs Up

Certainly doesn't look like it. The narrow front and larger rear, seat pad, curvier seat area, side pannels and the tail lights all say tyga to me.

CBR600rr rear end :

Could not agree more.

Personally, i think you should accept the offer of p/ex on that bike. I reckon you could make that bike worthy of a magazine cover.

Wowaweewa!
That one of the best looking bikes ive seen this year by far.
Thats provided the rear wheel has water on it and not some gay glitter.

Looks brilliant though a very striking use of colour. I love it.

I saw one of those at the airport going to Bari about 6 months ago! Took some pictures and everything, hehe... yeah, looks better in real life. The blue really is gorgeous.

Not sure what engine, I thought it was the fireblade but I might be wrong, as radiohead so eloquently stated Thumbs Up

Craig don’t listen to this lot, some people on here hate some of the most gorgeous bikes and ride turds.
If I was walking along a line of Jap 400’s I’d stop at this one and have a look.
I bet it sounds gorgeous and rides like a dream.
You’ve got this girl in your head, hand over the money and get dirty.

Remember that the colours may not be an exact match for what they're like in real life.

Well, that's what I keep wondering anyway.

I'm close to making a decision and have told the owner I'd let him know for certain tomorrow.

The deal does price the bike a few hundred higher than a standard NC30, but it has massive potential for me to make it into something a bit special.

Go for it, i saw the Tyga kits fitted to a number of bikes at the NEC bike show last year and the Tamada replica looked very very sexy at close range.

overkill on the bright blue, could be a lot more subtle!

ie. take it off the belly pan and dont take photos from that angle again and its a winner...its defo eye catching!

I dont think this bike was intended to be subtle. In my opinion its infinately more beautiful than a stock vfr400 or even the rvf.

I was thinking the 'glitter' was something along the lines of a recent rain shower - looks like I'll have to put right the damage that could have inflicted upon the bike.

I'm almost decided that I'd be opting for this, so thanks everyone for their comments - good and bad, as I wanted to guage both sides on such a move. The most tempting offer which this bike would give me is what work I could do when it's in my hands - big potential for a long term project me thinks.

My last 400 (the RVF) was a continuing project following the traits of a Proddy Irish Road Racer, circa 1994. I guess it's pretty obvious where the design ethos for this bike would come from:

https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y51/whers84/ncrcv.jpg

Incidently, it's an NC30 but with NC35 forks.
