Downloaded mech commander 2 and followed instructions about ghost drive etc, when i click play it comes up with an error "please insert correct disc and restart application"?????

Same happened to me so I used a no-cd crack, but the dam thing locks up on the intro anyway.

Perhaps try a different mounting tool.
Daemon tools works a treat for me.

Gold alowed you to edit the maps
i also belive it had a few different wepons and stuff.
But the main difference was the map editor. which was great if you played mulitplayer Smile

Mycomputer>clone drive right click and mount. Start game via my computer.

One of my all time, all star games. Never understood why they never carried on the series. I'm sure there were commercial reasons but it wa so popular. Crying or Very sad

Done that, error still comes up

Also tried Mechcommander gold and that comes up with another error about dos version or something, just trying Mech 1 Mad
