Leon is a great film.

Wonder why everyone loves a film about a hitman f*ckin' a little girl? Odd.

Actually no!!
there is no sex in Leon,
matilda is attracted to Leon, but it never leads anywhere.
There was before it was cut out prerelease, supposedly a kiss between the them. however the director, did not want there to be, any indication of Leon showing a love interest in Matilda. So it was removed.

So no this film has nothing to do with a hitman f*cking a little girl.

Maybe if you actually took time to watch a film and see what the director is trying to get across. you would understand the whole point of films.
Not ever one watched films just for a bit of sexual gratification.

She tells the hotel reception guy that they're lovers and Leons face is a picture. Theres is something else but can't remember now. Like I said, it's all subtle, things are hinted. Yes they were scenes removed from the film. I know that.

I suggest you watch the film. I've seen it many times. Where did I say there were sex scenes in Leon?

Who watches films for sexual gratifacation?

Films without sex scenes are nearly always better than the the films with sex scenes.

I thought that was just to shock that fella, its the kind of thing kids would say to raise an eyebrow or two...! You should hear some of the things kids say to me about what they get up to...you kinda take a lot of it with a pinch of salt....

(I think I stuffed up the quote...it peees me off when they tell me to delete some of it...now I cant remember who said it, Flip or Devil - whatever!)

so you don't get the whole point of it do you!!

the whole point is leon is not intrested in the sexual side of matilde. as where matilde wants to be a women and a cleaner.

You really are missing the point of it if you think that she is telling the truth at that point.

And as i said before the scenes were removed, for the very purpose of removing any idea that there was anything going on between them. Apart from in matildes head! so if you don't see that you are missing one of the important things of the film

and what rubbish is that about films with out sex scenes are better than films with sex scenes??
there are as many crap films without sex scenes as there are with them!!
And there are plenty of great films that have sex scenes in them???

HAHA It was me. I'll watch it later and take notes and post them. Laughing

It's a very popular theory about that film though.
@ Clanger I think that comment is a bit of both.

When a film is crap they tend to throw in a sex scene to try and keep you ammused. You never noticed that?? Of course there are crap wit film without sex scenes in them. No one said other wise.

You have seen films before haven't you?

Anyway I'm bored now and tea is nearly ready.

The Most Fertile Man in Ireland - Cheap funny belfast film. About a man who finds out he can get anyone pregnant while everyone else has stupidly low sperm counts so he works as a manwhore basically. Laughing

About Leon...

If you read the original script (which was turned down), Matilda was about 18 or so and there was supposed to be a sex scene.
Through the various editing stages that whole scene slowly got dropped and Matilda's age dropped with it, possible because they had already lined up Ms Portman for the part, either way, there was going to be a sex scene but it got chopped out even before filming began.
Good job to IMO, I don't think a 'sexual' role would have worked to well with Reno playing it, which means they probably would have found someone else....and the film would have been dire.

Tis a quality film just how it is
Thumbs Up

THE ANT BULLY - reviews were rubbish but my youngest had to see it.

Saw it at the IMAX in 3D - I actually thought it was quite good for a kids film.......

I saw severance at the cinema last week and went in thinking i was seeing a sick and twisted horror movie.... that basically what it was Very Happy A group of workers go on a team building exercise and end up at the wrong lodge when they are forced to walk from a blocked path. Turns out to not be what they had in mind and they are killed off 1 by 1 by a group of russian war lovers. Its funny as hell though sometimes, acctually works quite well as a horror/comedy mix. I'd recommend it and feel like watching it again now Very Happy

My OH was given a couple of DVDs the other day, so we sat down to watch them yesterday pm.
Rush Hour, which we've seen numerous times before, but still love the Jackie Chan/Chris Tucker action Cool
and Adam Sandler in Big Daddy, which I hadn't seen before, but IMO was so crap that i got up and went to do something else half way thru.

Another two already mentioned that I love, but haven't seen for a while are Leon and Dog Soldiers Thumbs Up
