Go faster stripes? If any single aftermarket item is going to dramatically improve that bikes performance it has got to be stripes down the side

You could even get some Yamaha Racing stickers if you are feeling really brave

as my gixxer has just been written of I'll probably buy it back & strip what's not knackered of it to sell... fancy a GSXR750 K6 engine to strap in it? I'd give you a good price

that'd surely extend the top end a little

you can also fit an rs 125 disc front end (yamaha not aprillia obviously) if you are one of those people who likes to actually have brakes on their bikes. hy-tec reeds can be fitted apparently not that it will make much difference

I had one of those last winter i owned it for about 40 seconds before a taxi done a u-turn and i wrote it off, snapped the frame, bananna forks the lot.

Yeah, I’ve got one of them too. If they’re in good nick with new(ish) tyres they handle well and you can really chuck em around. Don’t piss any money away on pointless performance enhancements just keep it well maintained and it’ll be a great little A to B workhorse.

To make it more fun, apply a generous squirt of WD40 into both brake drums. It won’t make it any quicker, but that’ll definitely make it more exciting!!!!

To increase straight line speed I can highly recommend this riding position:

Take the mickey-mouse ear mirrors off for better aerodynamics and sharper steering. Hammer a dent in the front of the tank so you can get your head lower behind the clocks.

Make your left hand into a fist and place it in the small of your back (good for another 4mph).

You'll be surprised how fast 98cc will take you. Faster than the chassis can cope with anyhow, not so much speed as the sensation of speed.

Im currently looking for one at the moment to use as a winter bike and also for my mrs to learn on. I loved my time on the RXS, I'm actually quite excited about getting another

trust me you dont need to stand on the back to wheelie them, i tryed to pull away fast when i first got mine and it popped a wheelie just off the clutch from standing, and the seat is huge so just shifting your weight back a little gets it up nice and easy

you could rejet it, or put a 125 carb on, port and polish that bad boy,
i used to have the suzuki 100, pritty much exactly the same, fun little bike, i used to be able to do over 60 with a passenger:D
