very nice.

when i had my gsxr400rrsp a bloke at work spotted me getting off it.

he then went on for about half an hour about the gixer1100 he owned and how it was only the damper on it that stopped it from killing him.

sounds mad

Definately a fine example there,

I have mixed feelings about the fact that its not getting ridden as that is what Mr Suzuki intended when he built it.

But I presume he has another bike which gets the abuse!!!
And that is a good enough excuse for me Very Happy

Mike.

That is just amazing. It must be one of VERY few examples in that condition.
It's quite strange to see an old bike literally in brand new condition.
Thumbs Up

Certainly well looked after but whats with the wrist bands Laughing

I think most put them on so the brake fluid doesn't come over the top, i think it looks fucking stupid though.

Laughing

The reservoirs have lids to stop the brake fluid spilling over.

Nope, he'd just had them fitted for the MOT, the original ones had started to crack from age Shocked

(they no longer make the original tyres)

How long had it been standing?

And, I would have thought that Dragons were pretty thin on the ground now too. Confused

Clearly you've never boiled your brake fluid. Rolling Eyes

Under really heavy usage, you can boil the brake fluid. The reservoir caps have an overflow to account for this, I assume. I've sprayed the clocks and surrounding plastics of my bike with brake fluid under heavy braking. If I'd had a wristband on there it would have been fine.

Incidentally, mine boiled because the lines were contaminated. They can boil from the sheer heat. Moto GP bikes have wristbands on the reservoirs to account for this. But mostly it's done as a fashion accessory, like on that.
