Basically, my daughter has drawn on OH's flat, squidgy pc screen thing with a permanent red cd marker

How can we get it off ?

Quick

He wants to kill her

Thanks in advance

Write over it with a non permanent marker.

The chemical in the non permanent marker, that makes it non permanent, will mix with the permanent one and viola, non permanent markings.....

You want a dry wipe type marker, the stuff they use on white boards in offices.

Working in an office for most of my career does have it's plus side sometimes.

Belt sander with 80 grit should do the trick.

On the cheap.. can of deodrant will do the trick or some vodka.

Isopropyl Alcohol would probably be a better option though.

As said in the post aboth mine, screen wipes should do the trick, they are usually just Isopropyl alcohol on a lint free cloth or similar methanol based chemicals.

Thanks very much people Laughing

I shall keep all of those... interesting... ideas for future use Mr. Green

Seriously, the meths worked a treat. Pen came off immediately

My Daughter is in soooooooo much trouble
This is the child who got permanent red pen on our NEW CREAM LEATHER SUITE
Oh yes....
Bad yeah ?
She did it about 3 hours after it was delivered !!

To say my OH was annoyed is an under-statement

And then, a few weeks later got ink on it, as the pen had rubbed all over her hands from 'colouring', and then she had lent all over the suites
An accident she said
And I truly believe she didn't know she had done it

She is very clumsy
I am hoping she will learn one day
When she has been punished to kingdom come numerous times
But you can't knock clumsiness out of some can you !? Confused Surprised

Maybe I should put her on ebay
Or the OH Wink
(Don't tell him I said that) Twisted Evil

Yeah... good point Shocked
I should have stuck with my 10 year old manky suite that looked attractive, not decorate the walls cos she will mark them, have no carpets in case she spills something again, have no windows so she doesn't smash them, ...

Anyone know a squat I can live in til she leaves home ??

Yeah, I know you weren't Wink

We stuck with sh*te stuff until she was old enough

She is almost 11
Still as clumsy as a 2-legged donkey with a bucket on it's head Rolling Eyes Laughing

I know what kids are like. And we put up with a lot, as it is ..'what kids do'
But you got to have limits somewhere. Actions = consequences and so forth

I hate discipline. Maybe as I got it so much as a kid. But kids need rules and blah blah..
meh Surprised

Perhaps you should encourage her to draw on proper surfaces. Show some enthusiasm in what she does on papaer with paint etc. Maybe then she'll stop drawing on your stuff, worth a try. Wink

She was using pens on the computer desk... my guess is she looke down, pen in hand and...
