Is it worth going to see some speedway racing, I've never been, it looks pretty boring on the TV.

I know people who have hypnotism to get over the fear of crashing on them tracks...

I find watching it really, really boring (and, like Nascar, populated mainly by rednecks) but that's just my 2 cents.

I'll watch the occasional meeting. Dad's into it in a big way.

I find it no more or less boring than MotoGP/Superbikes to be honest. You see some very good riding, and some very spectacular crashes.

Speedway bikes smell good.

Very exciting, good crashes (if a crash can be good)

My local track at Wimbledon has been shut down, they now only race dogs.

Its much better being at the track than watching it telly.

how sad...how can you say it's boring when you've never done it before?! And what's up with this thing about the need for some good crashes before it's interesting?! That's even more sad...racing isn't about the crashes...I'd rather see some good overtaking and a good race without crashes!
And about the Speedway, if you think it's boring just do it...(BigChris! )

Respect to Method!

I have been riding road bikes for a few years, I've done track days and race schools and when given the oppotunity to ride Method's speedway bike at a grass track event I thought yeah what the hell.

I got halfway round the track fell off and smashed my wrist to pieces, thats mainly because i was going too fast but let me tell you, riding one of those things, I guarantee you is the scariest thing you will ever do on two wheels.

Personally I love it, used to go to Monmore Green as a kid, I'd go for the dogs or the bikes, but I liked the bikes bestest Mr. Green
