It was hard
And long

I sweated, screamed, moaned...

But it was worth it in the end !!

YES
yes....
...

yes

...

I finally have bought a used car !!

What a bluddy cut-throat business people ! The cars advertised are either sold, cr*p or over-priced

I think I got a bargain today, well I know I have
An L plate Ford Fiesta, ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE outside and in ! No,... truly Exclamation And only 50K on the clock. Cost me 400 squiddles Thumbs Up
Surely that is good ? Yeah ? Question Thumbs Up
I mean, my old car had 120,000 on the clock and that was the same price. It is obv well looked after
I am just so glad the searching is finally over. Stress or what.

And I bought it from an asian couple. And they were soooooooo wonderful ! They INSISTED to the point of almost tears that we go into their house and have a drink of spirits with them !! We had to refuse as it was getting late (and we had food shopping to do with a kid in tow)...
He even said "Take the car now...you only live up the road, you are my neighbours almost... give me £50 deposit and just take it"

I wish everyone in the world was so trusting

Althought I bought my BMW from someone called Javid and it's been solid for 1.5years.

Over the last couple of years I have taken to buying cheap cars and just using them for a year, before scapping/selling them.

It turns out that you can pretty much swap cars every year, without any outlay (except the dreaded ins/mot/tax) once you have a car worth about £300-£500 squids.

My car at the moment is a J reg Golf with 120000 on the clock, and it cost my nothing cos i sold the engine out of my last car (200SX) for 400.

Sod paying for decent cars, I would rather spend the money on my bike Thumbs Up

Or you could do what Ive done and buy a VW polo with 40k on it, one lady owner from new, full VW service history from new. £400. Ive put lots and lots of miles on it, put bikes/wardrobes/trees in it, and it doesnt miss a beat, theres no rust, and the only thing ive paid for is 4 tyres, which ~I got by buying a 160,000mile polo at the auctions for £50, drove it home, took out the remaining £5 of fuel, took the tyres, exhaust and loads of other bits off it, then wieghed it in for £25. So other than fuel cost I have spent £20 on my car this year, its due a service now which I will do, and I have no doubt that it will pass its MOT with no problems. I still reckon I'll make a profit when I come to sell it. Very Happy

True! Laughing First thing my dad said to me "them cars rust like buggers!"

It needs some welding on the sills (luckily I know a garage/body shop owner well) but other than that it is apparently "mint" We'll see.
