Got myself a new bike tonight, after about a month of waiting Very Happy
It's a 1991 Honda VFR400R NC30, with about 26,000 miles on the clock.

Goes pretty well, went out for a quick spin and 130mph quickly came up on the first straight, definite more top-end than my RGV Cool

Here's a few pics that Mike took:-

Oh and if anyone has a spare single-sided paddock stand lying around let me know Smile

Looks Good Maurice! Cool
Needs a smaller plate though, the one thats on it actually looks oversize :S and if its got the standard can on, you need a race can to unleash the V4 sound Razz

You will have loads of fun Very Happy

Cool...how much did that set you back in the end?

As for being crashed - find me a 12 year old grey import bike that hasn't been crashed/dropped/scraped at some point Wink

I heard from the local shop that most of the crates full of greys coming over from japan get turned upside down at some point, which is why they all have scuffs and scrapes.

Also most 12-15 year old bikes have been crashed.

As for single sided paddock stand, if you just need to adjust the chain etc, just get a car jack under the bottom corner of the frame opposite the sidestand, and jack it up carefully. For lifting the front get a car jack under the exhaust downpipes at the bottom and jack it up.

Loads of people are upgrading to real bikes, like 487cc and above, so I doubt there will be that many

Don't adjust your chain with a side stand, simply set the chain slack and check it with you on it.

Kevo.

I intend to sort the race can out soonish, depends on whether the insurance require me to have a 33bhp certificate or not. Oversize plates seem to follow me everywhere, my last bike had one to begin with!

Yep! Probably next wednesday if anyone's going Smile This thing's much better on fuel.
