Tropical fish - suckerfish and plecos

Anyone here keep any corys or small plecos?

The other day i bought some Otto suckerfish but im starting to think i made the wrong decision and should have got a clown pleco, or possibly a bulldog pleco. Thinking

Infact any small plec that grows to be no bigger than 10cm really.

Could i take the Ottos back to the shop, or wont they take them back?

I also like the lil cory cats, but i was told they prefer sand to gravel?

Also, the Ottos dont seem to be eating. There isnt much algae in the tank (in fact, hardly any) which is why i brought some algae wafers, but they wont even go near them. My Danios show more interest in them Exclamation

any ideas?

Had a couple of different corys, they dont grow too big, hungry little fellas, non aggresive and look so different ot most tropical fish.

Just rebuilt my 4 foot tank this weekend and will be getting a load of plants for it in the next week or so along with a couple of new heaters.

I found the plecs didn't like wafers but they do like live tubifex worm as do the corys.

Just got to decide which fish I want to put in it.

I gave up with tropical fish,

At the moment I have 1 out of 3 white cloud minows left. and 12 carp in there which are on weight gain 3000 before they go back into the fishing pond. I've had two plecs.. one died when my pump packed up, on a bank holiday sunday night.. and I couldnt get hold of another... the other one was beaten to death by the white cloud minows Confused

I like the carp.. I can't seem to kill them. they arn't pretty but they're rapid Shocked

Im not too happy with the Ottos though.

In the shop they were slowly scurrying over the gravel in a group, which was what i liked about them.

At home, there swimming up and down the back of the tank round by the filter Rolling Eyes

I dont know if i should try and take them back and get some corys?
