Suzuki have brought out a tricked up version of the GSR. You get a radiator guard and the headlamp cowl but thats about all it would seem Question . Personally I think that cowl just doesn't work. Looks cheap and ruins the lines of what was a modern looking naked.

Still it costs no more than the standard and you could always remove the headlamp cowl and in effect get a free radiator guard Wink

Personally...I think it looks like a right dogs dinner. I loved the idea of it initially and from some angles it looked great but it just looks like a parts bin special to me now.

Thumbs Down

Thought the faired versions of most of these sorts of bikes make them look a fair bit worse (the sv being the exception actually), however I suspect it does help on motorways quite a bit.

The screen looks pants, I agree - but what's with the myspace angles?

That alone makes the bike look shite.. Sick

I think Suzuki have sold out !The Bandit is due to be phased out in 07 to meet new emission regs and this, i think ,is theie feeble effort in trying to sneak fans back...i think its a parts bin throw back.Tim Middle Finger to suzuki!

The Bandit was designed/built to compete with the likes of the Yamaha Diversion,Kawasaki Zephyr and Honda CB but at a budget build price. It totally blew the opposition out of the water and was met with the Fazer,Hornet and the Z remakes. The new Suzuki has shown no design inspiration or imagination. All it has done is COPY...and poorly in my opinion!

Don't see how you can compare an old aircooled retro with a water cooled re-tuned gsxr engined naked myself.

For your information, the GSR was actually built alongside the B-King project (the bike that never was...sigh...) so I would hardly call the GSR a parts bin bike with no inspiration or imagination Wink

I always considered the looks of the bandit to be very conservative - kinda like you'd expect a stereotypical bike to look.

The bandit was built to fill a gap in Suzukis model range at an affordable price. The B King was a CONCEPT BIKE that was shown at the Cologne show about SIX YEARS ago.The GSR was released as affordable version of this bike.
For information as well...the 600 bandit was also using a GSXR engine..one that has been used an abused for the last 25 years...stereotypical?????i thought that it was called retro?!?!nuff said! i dont like the GSR and thats MY opinion.

Tis a shame isn't it! A busa engined naked with turbo and all the technological mod cons available such as finger print recognition ignition....

Would have sold in the bucket loads in my view - any full power naked will at the moment. All the current ones using a sports bike engine are softened or re-tuned Crying or Very sad
