Bike choice........nsr or nc30

I have a problem and need help making up my mind!! do i get an nsr for the cheaper service costs, better fuel economy etc etc, keep it 2 yrs then sell it, OR do i get a vfr400 nc30 that i have looked at in beutiful condition (full uk spec model!) and keep it 4 longer. it has had headraces, wheelbearings new tyres, new oil filter, new mot, taxed, but has done 29000miles (91 bike)

HELP! I CAN'T CHOSE

To be honest I doubt you could stick with the NSR for 2 years. Might as well get the VFR straight away

if you have a licence, get the VFR. There's no point buying a learner bike if you're not a learner.

running costs on the nc30 worry me a bit though, anyone got any ideas on what figures i could be lookin at, major service, minor service, tyres, any other probs!!! it will be restricted to 33hp for 2yrs so i guess that'll help on tyres and fuel consumption?

well it will cost a similar amount to run to the NSR. learn to do your own spannering.

You won't keep it on 33bhp for 2 years. In fact you probably won't keep it for 2 years at all.

and most importantly, is this NC30 someones day to day bike, that is in regular use, or is it from a dealer? Be very careful about buying one that has stood for any length of time.

ive got one, excellent bike very strong and sturdy (high side with v little damage) u can can get em quite cheep and even the ones with high-milage will still work for a long time. Get one u know you want too Very Happy

really good bikes but the pegs do need changing as they tend to bottom out really easly but saying that most hondas do
