got a motrax one from and m and p which i think is very shite. When up, the bike is on some what of a dangerous lean. Dont trust the build quality of it.
Would prefer one made of one piece of metal rather than 2-3 pieces bolted together.
and one with hooks not pads.
anyone recommend any. ____________________ My Two Babys- 2007 Stealth YZF-R1- 2006 K6 Suzuki GSXR750 Track Bike

BAh bugger, just bought one off ebay that sounds very much like your Motrax one....
Why does it lean though?? I thought that was the whole point of a paddock stand??
Plus you can get hook adapter replacement thingys no?? (although £45 quid for R&G cotton reels is a bit much I think) ____________________ current bike: GSX-R 750 K6 stolen, found the next day in a van in Durham, returned to me 3 months later costing me my NCB and my excess...

Oxford Paddock stand is good quality. its very stable and solid. i've seen other stands where the metal is as soft as sh*te and the bike wobbles and leans all over the place on them. also the height that the Oxford paddock stand lifts the bike is perfect, it lifts the rear wheel about 1inch off the ground unlike others where it is far too high and makes the stabilty of the other stands questionable

My mate had a Harris stand about 2 years ago and it broke at the weld and dropped his mint 'busa on it's side. Credit to Harris though they replaced it with a new stronger model and paid for the damage to the bike. The newer ones don't suffer the problems of the early models. Lester Harris gets the big thumbs-up from me for quality of service
Abba stands all the way. They are superb. |

That Abba stand looks a lot better than the traditional type that I bought once. I had real trouble balancing the bike with one hand, fiddling about getting the cups in place then I could nt lift them damn thing
Resold it on ebay for its original price ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Yep, another for harris. Had the same cheap crappy stand first off, nothing compared to the quality of the harris one. Plus you can fix the width of the cups that slot into the bobbins with little grub screws so no more messing about with hooks etc...

Works a treat! Knicked off eBay, someone local to me for £30... about £60 at bike shows, but well worth the ££. |
