Just thought l,ll warn you lot about the Nitro N200 VX helmets that are beening sold on ebay and else were for around £40-50

I,ve just resently got a new one from J&S Motorcycle Clothing+Accessories ebay shop and the quailty is completey shit compaired to the 11 preivous nitro helmets (of varoius models) l,ve owned.

The seat belt style strap is very differcult to undo (needs a lot of force on the button) and from my opinion as a engineer the quailty of the mechanism looks very fragile.

The padding in-side the helmet around the face and cheeks is very thick and looks like that they outer shell is produced in one extra large size with more thicker padding is added for small sizes which makes the helmet look massive and stuipd on some one with a XS or S head.

The visor is very stiff and almost impossable to open with one hand while riding.

To sum the helmet up l would,nt use one for even mini moto riding its complete shit and l would want to trust my head in it during a crash. Neutral

Which is why they go for £20. Still gold badged though, so they must be strong enough for the job, and good enough for racing. I had one for free and have used it several times without any problems, so as an engineer I would say it did all that you could expect it to do, on a budget.

What would you expect for £40? As long as it does the job i don't think comfort/looks comes into it.

And? I once got knocked out when I stood up and hit my head off a cupboard, and my brother passed out when he ate a very hot potato....

I refuse to believe that anyone that can mangle the english language to such an extent is allowed to call themselves an engineer. What do you engineer, accidents?

Thats what happens whhen companies try to cut corners and save money, just seems stupid to do this with something as important as a helmet.

Yes, and he probably likes it perfectly well. I don't know what Tatters was expecting for his £3.50 (relative in the helmet world). Most of that paragraph seems to be poorly written opinion, and has no bearing on the safety of the helmet. If it's got the sticker...

Everybody seems to have those niro and takachi helmets that retail for £50 or under Shocked some of them are even nice looking, but I've been told the vents break and they just generally lack quality of others...

I'll be buying another roof after mine falls apart, probably the RO20 next time Cool

as an apprecntice multi skilled maintinance engineer i would agree, my nitro is one of the more expensive ones intheir range but the air intakes and certain things do feel rather cheap and fragile, ill trust it for now but as soon as i get 300-400 quid to spare ill go buy an shoei. or summut.
