After the longest period of not riding my bike, I’m finally back on it Very Happy (only a week I know)

Bought myself a new lid, another Nitro one, it's some new fancy model Nitro have brought out, it's £30 more expensive than the old one and noisy as f*ck Exclamation But can't figure out if I like the look of it Confused
The front of the bike (clocks) is making squeaky noises Rolling Eyes .

Oh and special thanks to Zim's mum for cleaning all that booze of my bike also thanks to Zim for riding my bike back from Hex's Very Happy (and spilling all the booze on the bike in the first place Rolling Eyes )

It's good to be back on 2 wheels. Mr. Green

Glad to hear it Danny.

Jon - Zim ain't banned now but he hasn't retaken his CBt yet either. When Danny gobbed it on saturday Zim riding it to and from Gav's was the only way it was going anywhere.

I suppose it might be too late to mention now Danny. But did you know you may be able to claim your house insurance for the cost of your new helmet leathers etc?

I don't know if you should risk riding without your L's considering the police presence at BH.

Phoe mentioned BH + Kevs I think. I may just go BH though cause it's a few ,iles on my bike doing both.

I'll look into it Very Happy
But i'll just claim for the lid because claiming for £600 leathers and £150 boots with little scuffs on them would kinda take the piss.

I'll chance it at Boxhill, and try not to do rolling stoppies Laughing

You think?

I've just claimed for scuffed leathers,
Jacket,
Sidi vertebra 2 boots ( Which as you know I can replace the scufffed bits),
New Arai helmet which isn't marked (but you never can tell if a helmet is damaged Wink )
And gloves which are scuffed

I now have a cheque for a grand winging it's way to me now ( that should pay to get the bike fixed too me thinks)

Nah. They asked me too take the stuff to a local motorcycle shop and get them to inspect the stuff and put it in writing with a quote to replace it all.

The girl wrote me out a quote for the stuff ( all at full RRP, of course ) and on the bottom she wrote " In the interest of safety motorcycle equipment should not be repaired"

Seemed to do the trick. I sent it off with my receipts and a picture of me wearing the gear, and that was that.

It took some persuasion to get them to send me the cheque because normally the cheque is made out to the shop. But I wanted the full amount as I know that the full RRP is never what you pay ( £400 for arai quantum F lid anyone? )

Best thing to do if your not sure if your covered is to phone and ask them if your bike gear has to be specified. If they say no that's your que to tell them you've had a spill. If they say yes then tell them you would like to specify the gear , wait a month or so, then tell them you've had a spill. Wink

Good luck Very Happy

I would like to amend this statement.
When I test rode the new helmet I didn't wear my balaclava, so it was noisier. The new N800 V model is a little noisier than my old N700 V, I still say the older N700 V is the best low cost helmet (if you can still get them because they stopped production of them).
The new N800 V in plain colours is £100 the older N700 V model is £70 in any colour. Very Happy
