I was looking at those jack up extensions on ebay last night for the FZR. Not sure what the ride would be like though as it just an extended shock support ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Everybike has different ways of 'jacking up' some are shortened dog bones, some are washers/spacers under the shock etc. Either way it'll raise the rear end causing the bike to dip into corners to quickly, becareful though, if you have dropped the front and raise the rear it could get a tad shakey and unstable. Could be dangerous, try it one step at a time. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |

cheers peeps
SO..... which way do i go about raising it? washer or dogbone?
OR BOTH
i love the feel with the front dropped & i wanna do rear MAINLY for looks but if it helps in cornering then all the better, if i dont like it ill just re set it to std
V4/leon yours look nice but id prob want a LITTLE bit more hieght so have you got the washer size of what you put under the shock? & ill maybe make it a mil or 2 thicker ____________________ GSXR750

The washer was there when i bought it, its only about 4 or 5 mm thick so its not a big difference, you cant go much bigger though you'll run out of thread on the top of the shock, mines quite close as it is.
Beware the sidestand too, mine leans like a bastard
I wouldn't go too high though, ive seen srads jacked right up, not a pretty sight
Looks Like a whale with its mouth open

k cheers mate
me & mate checked the sub-frame & it moved about an inch cause theres abit of the sub frame on the 2 top bars that stop it going any further so it would need a TINY bit cut away BUT THEN....theres the exhaust,& it dont look like that would go up with the sub-frame far enough ____________________ GSXR750

Leave it as is.
Or if you want to improve it, fit a K1 rear send to the Srad, the srad rear end is imho ____________________ Call me Mr. Blobby |

I'd love a 750 Gixxer (but need to get more experience and some NCB behind me first), but TBH never really caught on with the looks of the SRAD.
I think the raised rear end looks good, as long as it's not too extreme ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N
