I'm having a bit of trouble with my Kawasaki ER-5, the battery isn't charging.

I've had the Haynes manual out, checked all the things it says to check but I can't work out what the problem is. The unregulated voltage is OK, the resistances through the rectifier/regulator seem OK and all the connections are fine. The only problem is that the regulated output with the engine running just sits at the battery terminal voltage when it should be 14-15 volts!

Has anyone got any suggestions? Should I just give in and take it to a local garage?

The weird thing is that whatever happened seems to have happened while the bike was being stored in my grandparents' garage.
