What is the fastest you've been with your visor up?

I had a sudden urge of stupidity the other day and broke the ton with the visor raised, I suspect I looked similar to Jeremy Clarkson when he reviewed the Arial Atom. It didn't achieve a lot but I figured that there's probably a few nutters on this forum who have been on the limiter in 6th with the visor up?

I almost always ride with my visor up.
But then I've prolly only ever bothered to go as high as about 110mph Rolling Eyes
Even in rain I leave it up, at most, I put it down two clicks from the closed position.

Regularly over a ton. On the motorway it's almost impossible to see in through the rain with it down.

Rain I can deal with using the fairings suction effect down by the clocks to draw the water off. But it's fog that forces me to open the visor - it mists up no matter if you leave it up or down so if you are going to see it has to be open. Bloodshot doesn't describe how my eyes look and feel after though - especially in winter.

In summer i keep the visor down full stop. To many insects that could do damage.

I hate driving with it up andgetting watery eyes. About 30mph and i flick it down. My visor broke on one of my helmets before and it was a pain in the hole.

edit:getting hit by flys and especially wasps is another reason i keep it down.

It varies, the visor usually goes down once I hit maybe 60. Only at prolonged 80+ does the visor get shut fully though.

Being a wearer of spectacles ( i love that word, spectacles) if i have my visor up at anything over 40, they get covered in crap. If its raining then they get covered in water.

How i wish for normal eyes

I have an uncanny knack of being hit by things if I ride with an open visor, the worst being a wasp bouncing right off my eye (contact lenses do have other uses than helping you see properly).

That said, I always have it open below 40 or so. The fastest I've been with it up was about 75, whereupon the wind decided to close it for me. Snap! Confused

wat you should do for those people that have the problem of the visor fogging up, go buy yaself some anti-fog spray from ur local dealer or even your local scuba diving dealer as they have it also for ur goggles.....or if u dont wanna spend ur money on sum of that, saliva works almost just as well, just make sure if u do use saliva that u clean ur hands so as to not scratch ur visor.....i use anti-fog spray and i never have a problem with it fogging up.......the only problem i have is it gets so damn hot with it down cause ur breath hits the visor then comes back to ur face
