Hi all,

I have a Honda XL125 Varadero and i want to fit a top box onto the rear rack.

However I am undecided as to what to go for. (The original Honda one would be nice but it costs approx £110 which is a bt more than I wanted to pay!)

Ive narrowed it down to two. Now I was advised that Givi make great luggage, and theres this one
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GIVI-E30N-30-LITRE-LUGGAGE-TOP-BOX-IDEAL-4-HELMET-NEW_W0QQitemZ230030084517QQihZ013QQcategoryZ30240QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Not bad for £48.50. But I really would prefer a silver one. (To match the bike) So I found this one....
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UNIVERSAL-TOP-BOX-MOTORBIKE-MOPED-SCOOTERS-HF812_W0QQitemZ260030674145QQihZ016QQcategoryZ30240QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Which only costs £40.

My question would be, how much of a difference will the Givi be over the cheaper one????

Any help/input appreciated!

It all hinges on whether you can get a suitable base plate for the second as nothing is mentioned, 'Fitting's doesn't necessarily mean base plate Wink The snag is there is no set standard so one makers box will not clip to another's plate and so on.

The second doesn't seem to have a make and looks 'scooterish' i'e, cheap and nasty. My advice would be go for the givi.

Well I was thinking that the Givi is probably better built, and maybe a bit more secure.
