I have an 2001 import NSR. There is no restrictor in the exhaust or inlet manifold, and the throttle opens fully. The power valve is operating as it should as well. I understood that the restriction was in the CDi box on import bikes. I have got a CDi box from a uk spec bike from a breakers yard but this has made no difference to the power. Either the breakers have mis-informed me or there is some other restriction in place.

Can anyone help, I'm getting desperate now!!

Regards

Jim

Some bloke said it was the cylinder. If honda left off some ports the power would be severely limited. seems to make sense to me. Could you get a UK spec cylinder from a breakers??? Check it has the same letter on your cylinder as the replacement one has.
