i had one from a model shop basically the same thing but had counter-rotating blades which made it easier to fly for a newbie, a whole pile of fun after a few modifications (like cutting the outer ring of the tail rotor to make the thing move at a sensible speed rather than crawl) it was awesome whilst it lasted until the cat ate the blades. also a good thing about the one i had was that if you broke the rotors you could use selotape to put them back together....blade runner i think it was called

Ask Danny,

I'd personally start off with an Esky Lama.

Much more stable and easier to fly.

Then get the fancy bigger indoor models. Then maybe proceed to IC engined jobbies.

You can buy model helicoper simulator programs. eg https://www.alphamacsoftware.com/ Help that steep learning curve as they're not easy to fly.

I got given an (ancient) unbuilt/unused Heli and plane kit, with Radio/2 stroke engine/servos the lot from my uncle. Turned out as the kit was so old a lot of it was damaged and the heli never saw the light of day.

As for the plane... well the engine was old and very brittle and kinda fell apart 20 foot off the ground on its first flight and the plane "died".

After that i was looking at some proper modern heli kits and one i was considering was the Thunder Tiger Raptor 30. (£200+ with no engine/radio/servos etc) but in the end never got around to it.

Now i'm thinking of spending a few hundred on an RC Motorbike, some great ones in 1/5th and 1/6th scale.

get one that a bit bigger and heavier, they are easier to control.

the small ones are way too delicate and flip if you breathe on the controls.

Dude, get a "Hummingbird" they are by far the easiest helis to learn on! The one you posted is a cheap copy. You have to realise learning to fly an RC heli is VERY complex and takes a lot of pratice but can be very rewarding!

I run a model shop, so if your after any advice or anything i would be happy to help, just drop me a line!

As for RC bikes, they own! I love the old skool Kyosho ones!

Cars are FUN.

we have a revo (big, fast mostertruck) and it wheelies, does about 40, can drop the height of a house and not break. the suspension is great.

only tink is a full tank lasts 5 mins, and u have to wait for it to cool down on each refill otherwise it wont work right.
