Guitar Transportation?

Can you buy any kind of guitar strap/attachment, to secure a guitar to your motorbike for transportation?

If you're worried about coming off, there are three options:

1] Rob your closest youngest relations stabilisors off thier bike.

2] More training

If above fails:

3] Get a car.

One of those will sort you! Laughing

BTW, its not the coming off that hurts, its the landing. Land on your front, and the guitar straped to your back wont hurt you. Razz

I used to carry my violin to school with an appropriate cover+shoulder strap, it depends on the bike, but it will be probably easier on a scooter.

Dont forget that if it sticks out the top you will look like an idiot and the windblast will push you backwards.

i use my padded gig bag to transport my 6 string bass around with me, its got 2 straps like a back pack and isnt to bad to ride with.

i must look like a dick doing it tho its a fucking mahooosive beast of a bass lol

You cannot sit on a motorbike with a gig back properly on your back. It pushes your hea ddown and prevents you from seeing properly ive tried it lol. Also, doing 70mph on a motorway with it slung over your shoulder feels very dodgy.

i did this, didnt have a problem until i tried to go about 80 mph, damn thing was flapping around, hitting me in the head, and playing its own little tune.

IMO anyone who transports a guitar on a motorbike by strapping it to them is asking for trouble.

ask yourself does it seem safe/like a good idea?

Okay, so basicaly I was just wondering if there are any pilon attatchments/straps you can get to attatch a guitar gig back to your motorbike. But as it seems there isnt. Also, I wouldnt feel my guitar would be safe without a helmet in a sidecar haha. Thanks for your replies.

I ride with a kiteboard strapped to my back regularly...it's tricky and i only go about 80 KMH...any faster and the board would quite happily rip me off the saddle Laughing
